Club legend Julian Speroni could get a start for Crystal Palace on Saturday against Chelsea with Wayne Hennessey nursing a knock from international duty.
The Welshman was caught late by Ireland's David Meyler in the dying stages of Monday night's all-or-nothing clash in Cardiff.
Which sets the stage for Speroni, a fan favourite, to return to the line-up.
The Argentinean has already enjoyed a testimonial with the club having joined Palace from Dundee after their promotion in 2004.
Sporting director Dougie Freedman has been in conversations over bringing in a third goalkeeper on a free transfer but coach Roy Hodgson would prefer to use their remaining squad place on a centre-forward with Christian Benteke and Connor Wickham both out injured.
But there are few, if any, options that appeal on the free agent market which has left the Eagles in a bind.
