April 17th - Global wanderer Arvi Bahal on his holiday in one of the world’s most dangerous places
It's possible that no one's bucket list is more complete than Arvi Bahal's.
He is one of the rare human beings who has travelled to every single country on earth - and not just the tourist spots.
I talk to the global wanderer about his lust for extreme travel, and why he chose to holiday in Mogadishu, Somalia - one of the world’s most dangerous places.

April 15th - Is JFK the worst airport in the world?
Some say New York JFK is not the worst airport in the world. It's my first visit here since early 2020, and I hoped the main US gateway had improved. But it's even worse. And if you take the Airtrain (one good thing about it), beware the Jamaica jive.

April 10th - Greetings from the Ethan Allen Express
I am aboard the Ethan Allen Express train from Middlebury Vermont to Saratoga Springs New York State. There's only one such southbound train a day. Fares are heavily subsidised, and yet it's barely one-third full.

Unfollowed until they stop the music
The music was doing my head in. I can’t understand who thought non-stop background music was a good idea. I also agree there are too many ads in proportion to the short duration of the actual show. But I do understand that news organisations have to figure out a way to monetise their products so I give them some forgiveness for that. But NOT THE MUSIC. I’m not coming back until they stop it.
Content pretty good, sometimes excellent. I love all the travel updates; train cancellations such. Schadenfreude?
Stop the background music
Yes there are far too many adverts but the background music is the most jarring thing about this show. Otherwise very useful and interesting podcast.
A pleasant informative podcast by a respected expert.
A most informative, balanced review of current developments and trends in the travel industry by the doyen of said industry.
As for the background music, I rather like it. Without doubt, when I listen, there can be no doubt which podcast it is.
Simon has an easy presentation manner which makes this a definite daily listen for me.
